Warwoman Dell Falls is a quaint, 12-foot, cascading waterfall inside Warwoman Dell in Clayton, Georgia. A short loop trail will take you to see the falls and the beautiful and historic area surrounding it. The area is named after a venerated and beautiful Cherokee dignitary who frequented the area each Spring. Named the Warwoman, she advised the Cherokee tribal council on matters of war and peace and often decided the fates of captives. Over time the Cherokee designated multiple women with this title.
Warwoman Dell is also a site of exploration by America's first natural-born botanist, William Bartram, who documented the area's plants, climate, geology, and culture in the 1770's. While you're in the area, you can also check out Becky Branch Falls across the street!
