The Boiling Pots are a geological marvel inside Wailuku River State Park on the Big Island of Hawaii where the Wailuku River flows into a series of eroded lava formations. The "boils" of various depths are a result of lava flows from Mauna Loa and Mauna Kea that cooled and created large holes in the riverbed. When the river is full, the holes fill and appear to boil.
The Boiling Pots are easily accessible via short trail from the parking area, which also has restrooms. While here, you can also see Pe'epe'e Falls. Further downstream is Rainbow Falls, and further upstream is Wai'ale Falls.
