Picklesimer Rock House Falls

Picklesimer Rock House Falls is a 45-foot, free-falling waterfall tucked away inside Nantahala National Forest near Highlands, North Carolina. Its peculiar name gives hints to its appearance, but seeing it in real life is still quite a spectacular surprise! To access this waterfall, hike just over 0.5 miles along a quaint, creekside path that follows a creek leading to the West Fork Overflow Creek. This area is teeming with wildlife, so be sure to have a camera ready! The unique nature of this waterfall allows you to walk under and behind it as well. It's definitely worth the stop!
