Tropic Ditch Falls is a 15-foot, man-made waterfall inside Bryce Canyon National Park in Tropic, Utah. The waterfall is an accidental result of farmers diverting water from the Sevier River to irrigate fields around Tropic City. Tropic Ditch was built in 1892 using natural water courses in order to reduce the amount of digging necessary, including within Water Canyon, where Tropic Ditch Falls is located. Although the waterfall is typically dry October to May, a visit is still well worth it. The 0.8-mile round-trip hike from the Mossy Cave Trailhead provides stunning views of mountain, fascinating rock colors and formations, and a surprising abundance of wildlife. While you're here, you can also see the Mossy Cave.
