Looking Glass Falls is a 60-foot, free-falling waterfall located in the Pisgah National Forest and one of the most popular falls in North Carolina! The waterfall and its creek are named after Looking Glass Rock, where frozen water casts a glistening reflection in the sunlight like a mirror or looking glass.
Cherokee folklore says that the falls are actually the tears of a Cherokee woman who lost her lover in battle.
Regardless of how it came to be, Looking Glass Falls is a majestic sight to behold and should be considered a must-see!
