This portion in North Carolina totals 411 feet, while the lower 400 feet fall in South Carolina. Upper Whitewater Falls is easily accessed via a paved quarter-mile trail. Being handicap accessible with restrooms, this waterfall is well worth the visit for anyone and everyone. Be sure to bring a good zoom lens for your camera or binoculars. The view itself is distant but mesmerizing nonetheless.
