Douglas Falls is a 35-foot, free-falling waterfall in Thomas, West Virginia along the Blackwater Canyon Trail. This waterfall can be visited as part of a trail hike, but there is also a small parking area with a short scramble trail that leads to the base of the falls. You may notice the orange-red coloration of the rocks. This color is caused by runoff from the beehive coke ovens upstream that were created in the 1890's by the Davis Coal and Coke Company.
