Upper Sols Creek Falls is a 70-foot glorious waterfall tucked within the Nantahala National Forest in North Carolina. Compared to its southern counterpart (Lower Sols Creek Falls), Upper Sols Creek Falls is much easier to access. However, despite being short, the hike is challenging, with 275 feet of elevation gain over the full 0.4 miles. The trailhead is not marked either, but the Google Maps address should take you right to it. There is space on the side of the road for a few cars. A forest boundary sign can also be seen nearby. Trekking poles are recommended, and your feet are likely to get wet.
